The Regional Directorate of Education of Western Macedonia is in charge of about 410 primary schools and 130 secondary schools and their respective teachers of all disciplines. Among the schools, there are 14 vocational schools that specialize in several fields, such as Health Science, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Construction, Electronics and Automation.
Moreover, several other entities are also under the auspices of the Regional Directorate of Education of Western Macedonia, namely the Educational Support Centres for Special Education, the Environmental Education Centres and Educational Innovation Hubs of Western Macedonia.
The organization works closely with all the schools and supervised entities in the region and takes initiatives so that teachers stay updated with innovative educational policies and effectively cater for the educational needs of their contemporary student community.
